At BASF, we work with multifunctional teams to support our customers in their sustainability journey, leveraging our high-performance facilities, access to green energy and sustainable raw materials, and the expertise to combine these key elements. As a result, our customers receive a solution suited to their green transformation path:

Product carbon footprint (PCF) reports: We transparently share with our customers data on the cradle-to-gate CO2 emissions of our products, which are calculated according to the well accepted industry standards.. Customers can compare current PCF values with values for the the base-year 2020 and report reductions of Scope 3.1 emissions stemming from sourcing our products. The current PCFs can be included in sourcing decisions by comparing with PCF values of other suppliers calculated according to the same standards.

Reduced PCF offers: Customers can further reduce Scope 3.1 CO2 emissions by choosing rPCF or BMBcert® aroma ingredients instead of conventional.
